I am grateful and thankful for the help and sincere cooperation received from RC Mr G.Pradhan, MCAs Mr S. Chatterjee and Mr S. Mandal of Support Elders, Durgapur region, during an extremely sorrowful moment of my family. They have been with my parents, Mr N. Chakraborty and Ms C. Chakraborty ever since, and have provided them care and continuous support for the completion of their essential works. They have regularly kept checking on them through phone calls, taken them for doctor’s visits, bought their groceries, paid their bills, took them for haircuts and even got them vaccinated. I stay far off in Dubai, but due to their uninterrupted and continuous support to my parents who are old, I can stay relaxed. I am immensely grateful to them because they go beyond their call of duty, to take care of my parents, just like a family member would. I will definitely recommend Support Elders, as it is a trustworthy organisation, to people staying abroad, who constantly worry about their parents’ well-being, back home. These people are always there to take care of old people with empathy and provide support in all emergency and needful situations.
Ms Nandita Chakraborty, Dubai
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Support Elders team for their support, help and care provided to my mother, Ms A. Biswas all throughout my stay in Canada.
I would specifically like to mention that MCA Mr N. Saha who is associated with my mother for member care, has been very efficient in his duty, and his service is worth appreciating. He had gone into every detail, and taken care of all necessities, no matter how busy his schedule had been. I have not seen this kind of selflessness and dedication in recent times. My parents have been members of Support Elders since 2018 and their services have been truly commendable, but Mr. N Saha has added a different angle to the services for the elderly with his compassionate nature and responsible behaviour.
I hope that the team will keep considering our requirements in future as well, and will continue employing very able staff who will provide their service empathetically to the elderly, keeping in mind the helplessness that comes from old age.
Ms A. Biswas,
Canada
I would like to thank you for your kind and prompt help during the emergency situation of my father, Mr D K Adhikari. On Friday, 27 January,2022, there was a short circuit in my father's apartment and the apartment caught fire. Support Elders team members, MCAs Mr S. Ghosh and Mr C.S Patra, under the leadership of ZC Mr G. Basak reached the house in very less time, and they did all the needful.
My heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the Support Elders team. I request you to continue this kind of service in the future too.
Ms D. Banerjee, Mysore
My heartfelt thanks and best wishes to RC Mr G. Pradhan and MCA Mr S. Chatterjee of Support Elders, Durgapur region. They have regularly taken care of my father, Mr D. Chattopadhyay, and have helped him whenever required. Every day, they reach out to inquire about my father’s wellbeing. Since I am in the USA and haven’t been able to visit him frequently due to the pandemic, I’m extremely relieved and comforted to know that Support Elders is taking care of my father. Seeing how they have looked out for his wellbeing, I can definitely say that they have been his support system in my absence. I will certainly recommend this organisation to people who are in a similar situation as me, who have older parents and want them to be taken care of with empathy under all circumstances.
Mr S. Chattopadhyay, USA
On the night of 25th January 2022, my father, Mr K. K. Debsarkar, complained of chest pain and contacted our designated Support Elders personnel. Immediate help was sent over to my parents and the team accompanied them and admitted my father to the hospital. Thereafter, for a whole week, the entire team comprising Mr S. K. Sarkar, MCA A. Roy, MCA T. K. Mahato and MCA A. Prasad have been with my parents and have assisted them in every way. Not only did they report to the hospital daily, but they also checked on my mother who was staying alone at that time and helped her get groceries. They have provided continuous support to my family over a week, from my father’s hospitalization to his discharge and during each interaction the entire team has been extremely patient and very courteous. I am aware that during the Covid surge, they are probably working round the clock attending to ailing aged members of so many other families, yet they demonstrate extreme dedication and top-notch professionalism all the time. I pray for the good health and success of this incredible team. Thanking you is not enough!
Ms N. Debsarkar, Canada
My mother, Ms R. Shome has been a member with Support Elders since May 2021. The past year was a challenging one and we are grateful that the Support Elders team has always been there to provide assistance whenever needed - be it daily care calls, home visits, helping with pension or bank work etc. I would like to applaud and appreciate ZC Mr G. Basak and his team for their professionalism, prompt follow up, excellent communication, service minded spirit and dedication.
I would definitely recommend Support Elders to all.
Ms C. Mitra, Dublin, Ireland
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the support that Support Elders has provided to my mother, Ms I. Bose.
Within a week after enrolling in Support Elders, my mother underwent a surgery.
ZC Mr G. Basak and his entire team took care of everything, including hospitalization, hospital visits during her stay there, ensured completion of all paperwork for insurance claim and at the end brought her back home. Mr G. Basak dealt with the medical issues with utmost urgency which is really impressive. I have noticed a big change in my mother’s attitude. She now feels safe and confident to live an independent life with Support Elders by her side. I am extremely satisfied with the support and service that Support Elders has provided and would strongly recommend this organization to others.
Mr K. Bose, New Jersey, USA
I am very pleased to tell you that the quality of service we received from your Uttarpara Branch was really commendable.
It was a sad incident that my family experienced, but all through the inevitable period, ZC Mr M. Poddar was there and stood by us like a family member, solving each and every problem. Mr Poddar came to our family like a real hero, without whose help and support nothing would have been possible during the difficult time. My father, Mr K. P. Biswas, my entire family and I are really thankful to Mr Poddar for his outstanding service and wish him the very best for his future.
We also thank your entire team who were involved and are really thankful to them for their excellent service.
We hope that this exceptional level of service and support is continued by you and your team.
Ms. A. Halder, United Kingdom
As you may know, my father, Mr B. Das, a long-term member of Support Elders expired on 23rd December 2021 at home. While I was deeply heartbroken, all the necessary formalities still needed to be performed. And as usual, Support Elders stepped in to pick up that burden and provide me the much-needed support I required in this hour of great need.
I wanted to particularly thank MCA Mr A. Das for guiding us through the entire cremation process. He stayed with us from the moment we left home till all the formalities were completed at the crematorium. I did not have to worry about anything, as he knew exactly what to do and where to go next.
I am also immensely grateful to MCA Mr D. Roy, who responded to all my emergency calls even at odd hours. He has been truly a godsend.
I wish to sincerely thank everyone at Support Elders for the amazing service you provided my father these past few years. It was one of the best decisions of my life to enrol my father as a member of your esteemed organization.
Ms U. Das, Bangalore
Hope you are all well and that this email reaches the right set of decision-makers in this amazing organisation. This email is primarily a thank you note on the services that you are delivering to many of us. My dad and my mom (Mr P. N. Basu and Ms R. Basu) are members of your organisation for the past 1.5 years. Unfortunately, on the day of Mahashtomi (Durga Puja Ashtami) on 13th October, my dad left us after a brief period of illness. In these dire times your organisation stood by us like a pillar and helped us in every possible way one can imagine. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and my deepest appreciation to a few of your employees who showed exemplary empathy and commitment to the service.
1. Mr H. K. Dey (MCA) - He was with me all day from 9 a.m. onwards till 2 p.m. He was right there next to me and helped in all things, along with my other family members, while doing the cremation service. I am deeply thankful for all his help and his calm way of handling things in the burial ground of Nimtala plus all the arrangements that were made. Please extend my thanks to him.
2. Mr S. Mondal (MCA) - He was always there from the very beginning of our association with Support Elders and have been helping us in various ways. He also helped one of our relatives, who is also a member. We are thankful to him for all his help.
3. Mr B. K. Pal - His style of handling us, including many odd hours that I had called him. He has managed to handle and plan all things to the dot. I am thankful of his contribution and his help to our family. Your organisation is doing great service with high quality. Please keep doing this.
Mr S Basu, Bangalore
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the support that Support Elders have provided to my mother. Within a week of enrollment, my mother underwent a surgery. Mr. G Basak and his entire team took care of everything including hospitalization, visiting her during her stay at hospital, ensuring paperwork for insurance claim, and at the end bringing her home. Mr. Basak approaches medical issues with a sense of urgency and I have been very impressed by his responsiveness. I have noticed a big change in my mother's attitude where she now feels safe and confident of living an independent life with the help of Support Elders at her side. I am extremely satisfied with the service and support they provide and would strongly recommend Support Elders to others.
K Bose, New Jersey, USA
This is Mr D. Sengupta, Ms. C. Sengupta’s son. My elder brother, Mr R. Sengupta, and I reside in the US. Ma has been a Member of Support Elders for a few years now and has always enjoyed excellent support from ZC Mr. R. N. Maiti and MCA Mr. D. Roy, in addition to the extended staff at Support Elders.
Ma had tested COVID positive on October 18th, 2021 and had to be admitted to Woodlands Hospital. MCA Mr. B. Maity was by her side the entire time and provided critical support during admission. Subsequently, Mr R. N. Maiti, Mr D. Roy and again Mr B. Maity have been simply amazing with their support for Ma during her stay at the hospital. Equally importantly, they have provided unrelenting support for post-hospital care in setting up in-home nursing care.
For the past 10 days, I have first-hand witnessed their professionalism, timeliness and sincerity towards caring for Ma. My brother and I are extremely grateful for their and the broader Support Elders team's support! The work you are doing is life-saving and allows us to have peace of mind even though we are thousands of kilometers away.
Mr D. Sengupta, US
I am Ms G. Das’s son. She is a registered member with your service. She was unwell on the 16th November, 2021 and needed hospitalisation and MCA Mr A. Adhikary was sent from your organisation. I must say he did an excellent job led by ZC Mr N. Saha. He organised an ambulance and accompanied her, stayed till she was admitted and even made some initial payment from his own pocket. I wanted to reward him for his efforts because I was grateful, but he returned it under Mr Saha’s guidance. This kind of professionalism, while it is expected outside India, I have never seen it happen in India. I am writing to say that I applaud the efforts of your staff and you as a company that have managed to achieve an honest and professional organisation inside India. Please do convey my thanks to both of them and I am sure you do not need good wishes; good work always makes a company grow.
Mr S. Das, Australia
My father, Mr B. Das, a long-term member of Support Elders was hospitalized on 27th Nov, 2021 due to an emergency.
My father had very high blood pressure and his doctor suggested immediate hospitalization, as his condition was critical. I was (and am still) outside Kolkata at
the time. Hearing this, immediately contacted the Zonal Co-ordinator (ZC), Mr D. M. Roy. He understood the situation and immediately contacted MCA Mr R. Shaw, who arrived at our premises within 10 minutes. After that, Mr Shaw arranged for an ambulance and my father was immediately transported to a nursing home, where he is currently recovering.
This entire process was completed in less than 30 minutes from the doctor's recommendation. Moreover, Mr Shaw took full responsibility for filling in all the
necessary admission forms meticulously. He was also in constant communication with me, and he sent me copies of all the hospital documents over Whatsapp.
I just wanted to say that I am immensely grateful to Mr Shaw for his support during this time of emergency. Due to this prompt service, my father’s condition did not become even more critical.
I want to also especially thank ZC Mr D. Roy for his constant support, service, and kindness, which has been above and beyond my expectations. He is the person I contact whenever I face any medical or non-medical issue regarding my father and he has always responded with a resolution, and this time was no exception.
I hope to receive your support continually.
Ms U. Das, Bangalore
Recently, our family underwent a medical emergency and my father (Mr D. Sen) had to be hospitalized on short notice, and he passed away after three days, following which we needed help with the formalities and cremation.
While I have previously provided feedback via the zonal team, I once again wish to let you know that ZC Mr R N Maity and MCA Mr D Roy and their team did an exceptional job of assisting us through the difficult time.
I particularly want to single out MCA Mr B Maity and MCA Mr A Adhikari—who were on the ground and helped us navigate various stages. They are competent, level headed and compassionate. You have a good team in South Kolkata, and I have already recommended your services in recent days to a number of acquaintances with elderlies in their families.
Mr V Sen, Canada
My mother Mrs Krishna Dasgupta had brain stroke in the early hours of 7/11/21. We are grateful to you for your kind help and prompt service for her hospitalization. In this regard, I particularly thank Mr T. Sardar, who took her to the hospital within half an hour of the attack. Such action helped in saving her life. I also thank Mr. A. Adhikary for his immense help during her release. We are extremely thankful to the entire Support Elders team for their help and support during this crisis period.
Mrs S Majumdar (daughter)
Wanted to thank you Mr Md. Nazimuddin and Team Support Elders for the support you provided to my father. Me and my brother stay outside Kolkata and when my father had got hurt badly and he was bleeding profusely from his nose it was Support Elders who came to my support, arranged for ambulance, shifted him to Peerless Hospital the 1st day and then to Ruby Hospital. The doctor said that if we had been late, it would have been fatal. I would like to thank Team Support Elders specially MCA Mr Md. Nazimuddin, MCA Mr B. K. Barman and MCA Mr N. K. Maiti for the support. I am relieved staying outside knowing that they are in safe hands and act like my father’s son. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Mr J. Mukherjee,
GuwahatiI am thankful to you all for what you are doing for my parents. Thankful to Mr. G Basak, Mr. R Haque, Mr. R Bera for their outstanding service towards my family, society and the nation. I like to convey my best regards and salute for you.
Mr. A Shinghaw
Canada
I wanted to extend my deepest gratitude to you and your team once again for the
extraordinary service rendered by Mr R K Bera and Mr S Biswas under Mr A Bhattachariya.
Without their support I would find it very difficult to transport my almost immobile mother to
AMRI for check-up and clinical tests in the short period of time that I have in India. We are
lucky to have you beside us.
Take care and stay safe.
A. Gupta (Son of Ms S. Gupta),
USAI write with reference to the recent hospitalisation of my father Col. P Andrews and would like
to say that I was very happy by the proactive service provided by your team. I would like to
specially mention Mr A Das who was very efficient during the time of need and organised
everything required smoothly. He is an asset to your organisation and I wish him well in life.
Thank you once again for providing excellent service to people in need.

I can’t say enough good things about Mr. Srinivasulu and his team from Support Elders. They truly care for the wellbeing of my parents. Checking on my parents on a daily basis, ready to come and visit when needed, taking them for appointments, bringing medicines, and in general helping them with whatever is needed. My parents and I are very appreciative of this team and the service.
Mr A Manchala,

My elderly parents-in-law are engaging the services of Support Elders for about two years. Recently, my mother-in-law had to undergo a pacemaker implantation operation. Mr G. Ghosh and his team have done a very good job in supporting them during this period through the multiple doctor consultations, hospital admission and release process and during the hospital stay. We very much appreciate the sincere effort that they put in and also expect this level of support to continue in the future.
I hope Team Support Elders will continue to extend such high standards of support and service to many more families and persons in need.
Mr I Banerjee,
Singapore
I am sending this mail in my sincere appreciation to the support and service extended by your team towards my family, especially my mother, during the past few years.
During the past one year when the entire world was in the grip of the Covid pandemic, it would not have been possible for me to support my mother without your active collaboration and continuous support.
From the simpler things like visiting her during the week to the complicated requirements when I had to arrange for a doctor or medical examinations, I have always found you next to me irrespective of the hour of the day or the day of the month.
I would like to specially thank you for resolving the electric meter issue at our place by not only visiting the WBSEDCL office but bringing the technician home and getting things fixed. Without your help for sure the electrical connection would have got disconnected after a few days and that would have caused very serious complications.
I am grateful for everything that your organisation has done and I would like to especially mention Mr. A Biswas and Mr. S Mandol for their sustained support at every hour of need.
I hope Team Support Elders will continue to extend such high standards of support and service to many more families and persons in need.

Support Elders has been a lifesaver for me and my parents. I can tell, they work hard finding the right people and they train them very well.
Mr. Srinivasulu is always caring, friendly and helpful. He treated my parents as his own family. He is very reliable and always available to help in any situation. It’s truly a wonderful service and I highly recommend them.

I write to express my deep appreciation for the service our family has received from Support Elders. Several members of my family tested positive for COVID-19 around the same time and needed hospitalisation. Mr G. Basak organised the logistical aspects of the hospitalisations with great efficiency and swiftness. Mr S. Ghosh managed the admission process with outstanding competence, along with deep care for the patients’ well-being. Without such exemplary support from Mr Basak and Mr Ghosh, the medical crisis would have escalated further. My heartfelt thanks to them for going beyond the call of their duty to help us. I wish Support Elders every success in its mission!

I had taken my first Covid shot at a hospital on the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass when I was staying at my son’s flat in Kolkata. I had since returned home to Konnagar and was a bit worried about the second shot. I wanted to have the shot at the same hospital. I talked about my concerns to your Area Co-ordinator, Mr B. Das who promised to do his best and asked me not to worry. I also asked him to have someone whom I knew accompany me for the vaccination. Mr B. Das readily acceded to my requests, had someone take me to the Kolkata hospital, who got my vaccination done and brought me back home. Thank you, Support Elders, for the promise you are keeping for your members.
Ms B. Mitra

First of all, a huge Thank You. We cannot say enough about how relieved we are with what you are doing. Our brother was supposed to be there with my mom in Durgapur after his retirement, to look after her. But things went in different directions and ma became more lonely with an added tension about our brother, who is not well.
Then, all of a sudden, we found you from nowhere. We cannot say enough about the boys. They are looking after our mum so well. My sister and I stay abroad and it is hard to fly to India because of Covid but you guys just gave us mental peace.
Thank you for your service. We are recommending you to our friends. Fantastic job. keep it up.
Ms S. Aich
(Daughter of Ms D. Dutta), Australia
We are extremely satisfied with the services provided by Support Elders. We found you just in time. Our mom stays by herself in Durgapur. It was getting extremely tough on her to manage daily outside chores like submitting forms, regular health checkups and such others because of her age and health. The pandemic made it even harder for us to help her from outside India. We are very impressed with your member care associates (MCAs) who are kind, efficient and professional. They respond quickly whenever mom needs them. We know we can rely on them to keep our mom safe, happy and healthy.
You are the best! Thank you so very much! May God bless you!
Ms S. Mullick

Professional, polite and service with empathy are what make Support Elders special. My phone calls are always answered and action always taken by a warm and caring person at the other end. My emails too are always answered in a carefully worded and understanding way, including those from Mr S. Grewal and others.
That my mother uses Support Elders’ services for daily tasks shows that no job is too small for Support Elders’ staff—from taking her to the hospital to buying fruit. The hospital visit service is a great support for family members too.
I must add a special appreciation for Dr Sharmishta Ghose who has been a godsend. She spends time with my mother and understands her medical issues
very well.
Overall, Support Elders’ services during the pandemic have allowed my mother to live as normally as possible and for me to have peace of mind that she is well cared for. I also deeply appreciate the extended OHA (Out of Home Assistance) hours.
Ms D. Sanyal
North Carolina, USA
I would like to convey my thanks to Support Elders and its ever-smiling staff. I stay alone and, as the pandemic set in last year, my greatest concern was, if I fell ill where would I get an ambulance. As an ex-railway officer, the hospital would not be a problem for me. When I asked your MCAs, they instantly said, “We are there, Sir, don’t worry”. That gave me tremendous mental support that help is just a phone call away. I like their attitude of never saying 'No' to any sort of work; very rare in today’s world. This is because they have an army background. As I completed my second vaccination, I would also like to convey my thanks for organising the entire procedure so smoothly. I only had to reach the hospital at the scheduled time. All the paperwork and running around were done by them. This would not have been possible without your support. I am sure that none of your members will leave you, given the way you help and support them in all necessary spheres.
Mr R. L. Das

I enrolled with Support Elders last month and, within a couple of days, I had to go to Hyderabad for my eye surgery. Fortunately, Support Elders launched theirbranch in Hyderabad the day we reached. Though my daughter, her husband and my granddaughter accompanied me, the help I received from Support Elders was unbelievable from the time our train was approaching Hyderabad. Due to some technical problem, the train stopped near Secunderabad and we were confused about which station we should get off at. We called Mr R. Saha, who guided us on how to reach our destination. Once we were there, the Hyderabad member care associates helped us reach our guest house. They never left my side throughout the entire stay in Hyderabad. Starting from the first visit to the hospital to the day I had my surgery and as long as we were there, they called us every day, checking about my health and asking if we needed anything. I am so happy and satisfied with the service that I keep telling my friends and family about them.
God bless the organization and the people who are helping elderly people like us.
Ms B. Chatterjee
Kolkata
I would like to thank and bless Support Elders from the bottom of my heart for the help that they provided to me during my extreme emergency. They not only shifted my husband from Konnagar, where we stay, to a Kolkata hospital but also handled the admission and kept me informed about his medical status everyday, during his entire stay in the hospital.
I lost my husband but they never left my side, especially on the day he passed away, staying by me 8 in the morning till 2 at night. When I reached the hospital after getting the news of his passing, they took care of the hassles regarding the insurance claim and everything was smoothly handled by them.
They then accompanied me back and helped me to go through the rituals of the last rites and took me home. Details of the costs were explained to me and all receipts were handed over to me. I could not have handled all of this my own.
All my good wishes to every member of the organization.

My aged mother, Ms U. Banerjee, lives alone in an apartment complex. I had moved her to my sister's place at the onset of lockdown and then brought her back to her own home in November after a gap of eight months. The shifting process was a logistics nightmare and managing it from abroad, let's say, was not easy.
Support Elders was there throughout the shifting process and did a commendable job in coordinating various things.
Thank you Support Elders! Thank you Mr Roy! Keep up the good work!

We are happy to have provided some comfort in this time of trauma -- Support Elders
We just subscribed for the service in October 2020 for my parents and by end of October, my father had an emergency, around midnight, due to low level of oxygen. The GPS-enabled watch was a saviour for my mother and a representative reached our home pretty soon. After that, they took care of everything—from arranging the ambulance, admitting my father in Apollo, visiting him at the hospital to getting him discharged from there. We are really happy with their support, especially during this Covid-19 phase. As I and my brother stay in the USA, we felt that we had taken the right decision by registering our parents with Support Elders. It gives us great peace of mind. In fact, our relatives and friends have taken their contact details. Though we do not want such emergencies to happen, but who knows when support is required.
All of your representatives are so cordial and responsible; we are really grateful to your team.

We are happy to have provided some comfort in this time of trauma -- Support Elders
I would like to place on record my own and my mother's deep appreciation for all the help that Support Elders has provided to us in dealing with our huge and terribly tragic crisis. I am particularly grateful to the many care associates who escorted my father to the hospital on the 7th and arranged for his admission at Command Hospital. They were constantly available to take my desperate calls for help in organising sanitisation services, Covid Testing at home and such others for my mother and the helpers and attendants. They also kept giving me information from the hospital about my father's condition.
Your care associates also came and sat with me while I waited for hours till my dear father's body was brought down from the COVID ICU to the mortuary at the Command Hospital and later went with me to the office to deal with the paperwork. They arranged for the attendant who had tested positive to be removed to a care centre and helped me to organise another round of deep sanitisation of our flat.
This has been an extremely traumatic experience for me, as I was alone in a hotel, unable to be with my mother and having to grapple with the grief and the crisis. I found it assuring to speak to your area coach who he readily helped and advised me every step of the way.
I am now back in the flat with my mother and the Kolkata Municipal Corporation authorities are yet to reach out to us but we have been asked to stay at home till they come to test us again. Till then we are locked in at home. My father's shradh date of September 21, may get missed if the lockdown is strictly imposed, even though we are Covid negative. My sister who is travelling from the USA to be with us in this critical time, will probably have to stay in a hotel for a week or more. It is an altogether catastrophic situation but I am hopeful that I can count on the Support Elders team to help us get through this painful period.
Very gratefully,
Ketaki Bardalai

Thank you so much for teaching me how to use Google Duo. It is only because of you that I could see and talk with my three grandchildren and with my daughter and son-in-law. I was feeling so happy when I saw them.
Thanks a lot!
Ms I. Lahiri
Any thanks will not be enough for Support Elders for the way they are giving support to my parents (Father : Mr. B Ray, 89 and Mother : Mrs. A. Ray, 80) in Kolkata for last one year and particularly during this COVID-19 scenario. Starting from hospitalization and release from the hospital after treatment, pension withdrawal, medical support, bank works, provision of 24X7 nurse, mental support, in every field I can appreciate the team. The team is extremely compassionate, punctual, dedicated, and knows very well how to handle unprecedented situations in difficult times. The way the team stood by my parents with its exceptional sense of responsibility, is highly commendable. Far away from Kolkata, in this COVID-19 situation when I cannot reach my parents physically, the uninterrupted service of Support Eldres have always reduced my worries. A wholehearted thanks to the organization. Keep up the good work and genuine effort.
Mr. K. Ray, Bangalore.
My parents are the members of Support Elders organisation for more than 3 years . I am extremely pleased with the services received from this organisation. All staff members of this organisation are very caring, diligent, and have an incredible sense of responsibility. Services recently received for my father Sachchidananda Banerjee (80 years above age) was extremely supportive and helpful. I want to express my sincere gratitude, especially to two of your staff members for their excellent and invaluable support for my father starting from hospitalisation till the very end of the treatment even during the difficult times as we all are currently going through. I deeply appreciate and acknowledge their invaluable service from the bottom of my heart. It seems a real blessing for me to meet such a fantastic team and brilliant organisation in my lifetime. I am deeply indebted to your precious service. Finally, a big thank you to all team members for making and running such an efficient organisation who really take care of many old people living in Kolkata and suburbs. May God bless you all!

I am writing this e-mail to express my appreciation for the wonderful services that your organisation has been providing to us, the elders. Although your services have been excellent throughout, but I couldn't resist the temptation to send a testimonial, when I observed the dedication of your staff during the current crisis posed by COVID. I am really impressed to learn and experience how your staff members have checked on the members for their wellbeing, rendered door-to-door service, braving this pandemic and the deadly cyclone. I am especially impressed by two of your staff members for their exceptional service quality and sheer dedication. To sum up, I would like to thank you again for the wonderful initiative, gesture and dedication. I hope that you grow as an organisation further to be able to cater to the needs of the larger section of the society.
Ms M De, South Kolkata
My parents live in Kolkata, while work has kept us away from India. I truly appreciate the responsiveness, care and concern you display on a consistent regular basis and stepping it up during the lockdown phases. It means a lot to have a sense of security and comfort of being able to reach out to someone reliable in these trying times.
Your help with arranging supplies, medicines, offer to deliver catered food in these difficult circumstances is greatly appreciated. A wholehearted and sincere thank you to the Support Elders organization.
Raja Chakraborty (son of C. Chakraborty)
A huge round of applause for Support Elders. I could not get in touch with my father on the morning of 21st May, the day after Amphan hit Kolkata. I was worried given that there was power outage in the evening and it may have been difficult for him to move around in the dark. Innumerable calls to connect with him were in vain. Finally got in touch with Support Elders and they promptly sent someone who visited my father’s residence and in fact connected him to my sister. All was well. We were relieved. I appreciate that in circumstances like this the Support Elders team have people who ignoring their own problems at home answer the call of duty. Big Thank You.
PS - the team went on to check on my father the next morning as well, the 22nd, and this time I was able to speak to my father who wished me for my birthday. It was an overwhelming moment for me given that reading about the situation in Kolkata I had no hope that I would be able to speak to my family any time soon.

My father is undergoing dialysis since September 2017. He is currently 86. I heard about Support Elders few years back and I enrolled my father and aunt with their service in October 2016. Since then Support Elders has been taking care of my father’s dialysis. They take him to Woodlands 11 days a month and safely bring him back home. The hallmark of Support Elders services is discipline coupled with dedication and diligence. Most of the field staff are ex-Army men and hence they are extremely punctual and focused. Majority of them are very compassionate which is the need of the hour in dealing with elderly people. The back-office staff diligently call everyday to inquire about regular or any unprecedented requirements. Personally, I am satisfied with the services rendered by SEPL and have recommended them to few friends and relatives who in turn are also satisfied. I hope Support Elders Pvt. Ltd truly lives up to its name in future. In the present COVID 19 scenario Support Elders has been a great help. They have maintained their services unabated and have provided the much-needed relief to the family members of the patient. My father is receiving uninterrupted service from Support Elders which is phenomenal in this lock down period.
Mr S Basu, South Kolkata
I can’t thank enough the Support Elders staff who helped me get my most essential medical instrument of sleep apnea repaired. I have an age-old problem of sleep disorder for which I have to use a breathing machine regularly at night, or else I cannot sleep. Last week, in this lockdown period, my machine suddenly stopped working. First, I called my machine repair person, who stays in the Garia-Patuli Township area, but he flatly refused to come because of the lockdown; instead, he asked me to go to his place. There was no question of me going out in this scenario, specially when my driver is absent. Then, I called the Support Elders staff who is in charge of my area. He immediately sent a staff member to whom I handed over my machine and made him understand the problem. To my surprise, within less than 1 hour the staff got it repaired and replaced the faulty mask with a new one and brought it back to me. I was so impressed with the help that I could not thank him enough for saving me from the mental trauma. I immediately called up my son, who stays abroad, to inform him about the incident. I would like to thank you all again for the help you are offering to the elderly members during this emergency situation. May God bless the organization.
Ms Dasgupta, South Kolkata
Our mother, Ms S Datta, has been a member of Support Elders for almost three years now and the team has been like a family to her, especially since both her children live away from Kolkata. Their prompt service, responsibility and compassion for the elders is commendable. With the recent outbreak of Covid-19, they did not falter although it was an entirely new and unknown territory to them and their staff. The organisation was quick to appraise the new situation and intimated us and assured us with emails, the plan they have in place and how they will deal with the most important and essential services while the non-essential services will be deferred to keep both the elders and the staff safe. In recent times, my mother's medication and all essentials were efficiently replenished even though there was a shortage in the city. Her care manager is always quick to respond to our calls and messages and diligently takes care of our mother's medical needs that arise from time to time. I wish all team members of Support Elders the very best, stay safe and keep up the good work and your genuine efforts.
Mr S Datta USA
Thank you, Support Elders, for helping me to withdraw my pension and to purchase my regular medicines. Our life in this lockdown period wouldn’t have been so smooth without your help. God bless your staff and your organisation for helping all the elderly people like me who are absolutely home at confined.
Ms C Dasgupta, South Kolkata
Support Elders is doing so much for elders like me in this time of lockdown that we will be forever grateful to them. They don’t even allow me to step out from my home for any single necessity. Whatever I need, may that be medicines, essential grocery items or even withdrawing money everything is happily done by the always cheerful staff. The only time I step out from my flat, is to pluck flowers from my garden for puja. God bless Support Elders.

Our parents live in Kolkata, while work has kept us away from India. I'm sure this is a common occurrence in every second household if not most,in today's date and time. And while its natural for us children to be worried about our parents managing their day-to-day requirements on their own, you have so beautifully and perfectly stepped in, reducing to a large extent our worries. We appreciate the care and concern you display on a regular basis to senior citizens like our parents, not just during this lockdown phase but throughout the year, regularly enquiring over phone about their well being. It gives them a sense of comfort of having someone close by whom they can reach out to. Sending their way a little birthday cheer or wishing them Shubho Bijoya just brings about that sense of belonging which is so wonderful!
Your help with arranging supplies, medical or otherwise, catered food delivered at doorstep, accompanying them for medical check ups does not make them feel helpless due to absence of near and dear ones in these trying times. You listen with compassion and act with care. You've been the extended family that has stood by them in normal as well as difficult and uncertain times. And while you may say it was your job, we just want to applaud you on a job very well done. Pray you carry on rendering such services to elderly people in days to come. We would just like to simply say a big heartfelt thank you. Keep it up!
Best Regards,
Mr S Sen & Ms K Gupta, United Arab Emirates
Thank you, Support Elders, for going out of the way and arranging prepared home cooked food and getting it delivered to us at our doorsteps in this time of crisis. As there are no helping hands present during this time, it was becoming more and more difficult for people like us to do all the household chores along with cooking and washing utensils. We are now getting prepared food which saves a lot of our efforts. Thank you all for taking care of us.
Ms Dutta, South Kolkata
I got tremendous help from your boys during this lockdown period. The staff managed to get my essential medicines by taking so much of risk. I am very much impressed. God bless them. Your Support Elders will reach a new height. My blessings are with you.
Ms Banerjee, South Kolkata
My mother, Ashoka Chaudhuri, who is in her late seventies, often tells me about Support Elders, an organization mom joined a couple of years ago, which specializes in giving comprehensive care to senior citizens. Someone calls her every morning to ascertain that she is okay, and once a week, or whenever required, a staff member visits her and takes care of her problems. Also she has been given a special watch/GPS/telephone for emergencies. As most of the staff members are Ex-Servicemen, my mom feels comfortable with them, as my dad was an Ex-Indian Navy officer.
She also tells me about all the various activities which Support Elders organizes for members – like movies, lectures, picnics, sightseeing etc.
So, during my last visit to Kolkata when mom invited me to attend the ‘Support Elders Silver Connect New Year’s Party’ in Rabindra Okakura hall, in Salt Lake, on 2nd January 2020, I accepted right away. The Rajput Regiment(TA) Band was excellent and brought back many childhood memories and the ‘Chelo Kebab’ lunch from Peter Cat was nostalgic.
What impressed me the most however, was the dedication, compassion and patience with which the staff, mostly Ex-Servicemen, looked after the large number of senior citizens, with smiling efficiency. To be able to organize, such an event with close attention to details, requires an excellent behind the scene, planning and execution teamwork. It was very creditable.
My brother, who lives in Toronto, Canada, and I in Abu Dhabi, UAE, are always concerned that we have no option but to leave our mother behind alone in Kolkata. Now, having seen how well she is looked after by Support Elders, I am going back much reassured. That help for my mother is just a phone call away is a great comfort to both of us.
Thank you Support Elders.

Dear Support Elders Team
Let me assure you, the help you gave me and the cheerful, ungrudging service you rendered for organising my 80th birthday celebrations. In the absence of my own children you were like a supporting son to me.
I would like to Express my most sincere gratitude for making my 80th birthday such an enjoyable and memorable day that I'll cherish forever.

It was very nice talking to & meeting the members of your team during my visit to Kolkata. Thank you very much for all that you have been doing to support my parents especially during this time when my mother had to be hospitalized. It means a lot to us.
Thanks!
V. Chakarvorty, New Jersey
We have become members of your esteemed organisation only about six months ago. The courtesy, promptness and efficiency shown by your personnel impressed us greatly who were ever willing to assist us in our various activities.
I am writing this letter to express my special appreciation of the help received from your field personnel, when my wife had a serious head injury due to a fall, at the dead of night on the 21st.July,2019. Within 45 minutes of contacting them, through the wearable gadget provided by you, they were at my residence with an ambulance and take her to the nearest hospital. They followed it up with visits to the hospital till she was brought back home. My sincere thanks.
On similar earlier occasions I thought I was alone. Now I know Support Elders are by my side. This is a great morale booster.
I hope our relations will continue to grow.
Yours sincerely,
A. Chaudhuri, Kolkata
We are availing service of Support Elders for my mother since last 6 months and we are really grateful to Support Elders and it's staffs. Each and every staff of Support Elders who come visit my mother, are not only very helpful , but also show genuine care and compassion towards my mother. All her life my mother, a math and science teacher by profession, loved company of people. Now being confined in her home all by herself, only with the help of aya/helpers, she started getting depressed and losing interest in life . The friendly company of Support Elders' staffs, for however little time it is, helps her to forget her loneliness a bit. She feels happy when Support Elders' staffs visit her and engage in a conversation with her. Especially, when Support Elders' staffs come to take her outside for a brief outing on a wheelchair around the block, her otherwise disinterested mind becomes happy and finds interest again in things around her. Support Elders' kind gestures to take her around in wheelchair is truly commendable.
Thanks

Dear Support Elders Team
Thank you so much for your continued support to my parents I and my entire family thank you wholeheartedly for your prompt response to the emergency I can rest assured that my parents have someone they can depend under such circumstances.
Best regards

I think Support Elders is doing a commendable job. My shift from New Alipore to Sakherbazar, Behala, was a tremendous feat done very well.
Recently, my blood pressure shot up after which I pressed my smart watch alert button. A Member Care Associate arrived and brought an emergency drug prescribed to me. I took the medicine, while he patiently waited for half an hour to gauge the situation. My BP level stabilised. We were immensely relieved and thankful.
Trips to the Canteen Stores Department were immensely fruitful and caring. Trips to the Command Hospital and visiting doctors were done with precision and ease. We are very happy and satisfied with the service rendered to us.

I got to know about Support Elders from my friend in Singapore. His parents in Kolkata were being take care of by Support Elders. When I spoke to my mother, her first reaction was – “I don’t need anyone coming to my home to help and support me.”
From there till today–it has been a great journey. Initially, after signing up, she did not know what to do with them. I would get feedback that the staff were calling her up every day and visiting her every week.
But then as time passed, and my mother went through some health-related situations – the Support Elder’s team came in very helpful. From taking her to the hospital to visit the doctor, managing the whole process from transportation to registration to getting the doctor’s advice and helping her with buying the medicines, Support Elders did all.
Then came the support around bringing small things you need–sweets from a particular shop she liked. And delivering her surprise gifts I would send to Kolkata from Germany through my friends and their relatives.
And after not attending any Coffee Mornings, she finally attended one last month. Her feedback was quite positive. Apart from all of this, Support Elders also help with banking and utility bill payments.
Overall, a very good experience….would recommend anytime.
Mr S Sengupta, Germany
I am currently using the services of the wonderful folks at Supportelders.com for my elderly parents- one of them is above 70 years and the other one is above 80 years. Both of them suffer from serious nerve-disorder related diseases because of which they need constant care and assistance in their day to day lives.
I live in the US and am not able to visit them as frequently as it is required. Hence, I reached out to Support Elders community and they are helping me to run errands for my parents, provide them with a companion to talk to, enquire about their well-being everyday, have a smart-watch ready at home to be used for an emergency phone call in case of need.
The field staff are very responsible and reliable and they go out of their way to help them live a smooth life with dignity at that stage of their life when basic chores like visiting grocery stores and doctor's dispensary can be physically straining.
Once a chore that needs to be done for my parents are reported to them, they usually do it efficiently and timely. I don't have to worry about reminding them about it or to follow up on it.
I should also mention that the fee charged by Support Elders might seem a bit steep at the beginning, however, the peace and comfort that I feel by knowing the fact that there is someone in Kolkata who can be held accountable for managing the daily chores of my parents' lives makes it all worth it.
Ms S Bhattacherjee, USA
I am very happy with the services provided by Support Elders for my mother in Kolkata. I live in the USA and rely on them for day-to-day taking care of my mother’s needs. Very courteous and professional staff, everybody on their team does a wonderful job.
I would like to make special mention of the NAC team, which does an amazing job! Also, I would like to express my special thanks to the CGO for finding time for me, helping in selection of suitable packages, and for connecting us to a dedicated physician.

My husband, Mr P. Guhathakurata, and I enrolled for membership with Support Elders on January 1 this year. We have been greatly benefitted by the services of your organisation.
Parents are often left alone in today’s social structure. We only as parents encourage our children to build their careers and move abroad.
In our case too, we gradually started experiencing age-related complications once we crossed the age of 60.
The way Support Elders looks after and cares for us is indeed greatly appreciable. We wish your organisation good luck and success.
Ms C. Guhathakurata
I am so happy with Support Elders and can leave home on lengthy trips knowing that my mother is in good and caring hands.
The staff of Support Elders are competent, polite and very good with my mother. They help her to take care of her needs even when I am in town.
It is a wonderful service and worth its weight in gold. It is also very reasonable.
I am so grateful it is here in Kolkata and I am surprised that others do not seize this opportunity to ensure the well-being and safety of elders in their families.
Ms Silliman, Kolkata
Support Elders has been providing excellent care to my sister in Kolkata.
The quality of her life has improved so much that most of her health problems have almost disappeared.
She looks younger, is happy and content and is absolved of all the chores of living alone as a widow with no family around.
I can confidently recommend Support Elders to any senior citizen living alone.

I enrolled my mother, Mrs Mira Banerjee, with Support Elders on a visit to Kolkata in February 2018. Despite being fiercely independent, I realised that my mother needed help and support. It was with some reluctance that she agreed. Following the enrolment, other than the daily telephone calls that were made to her, enquiring about her welfare and requirements, Support Elders also provided her with weekly visits. These were useful. My mother lived alone and required help even for basic needs like drawing cash from bank, and other necessities.
In mid-2018, my mother had a fall and injured her spine. Support Elders then arranged for the required X-ray and medical support to be provided at home. The visits by their Member Care Associates were stepped up to daily visits till she decided to revert to the earlier frequency.
The spinal injury led to progressive deterioration in my mother’s health, leading to her death in February 2019. During the period that her health started to decline, I requested Support Elders to arrange for medical support at home. This was provided. If my mother had a lease of life for about a month, it was because the attending doctor could reach her on time, make the proper diagnosis, and recommend hospitalisation. I live in Bangalore; my brother in Delhi. Hence, in emergency, it was Support Elders that arranged for the ambulance to transfer her to the hospital and arrange for her admission to ICU.
While the support that we received was exemplary all across, I am grateful to the care managers of Support Elders. If they had no errands to run for her, they would sit and chat, something that my mother would have enjoyed, in an otherwise lonely existence. Their discipline and conduct were exemplary.
My mother-in-law is also enrolled with Support Elders. There are many others who are members of Support Elders too.
My mother may have agreed to the enrolment with reluctance, but I now realise that had I not done that, given that I do not live in Kolkata, she would not have the support that she needed. For this, I would like to thank the entire Support Elders team. Needless to mention, I would whole-heartedly recommend their services to all who need extended support to be provided to their elderly relatives.

I came to know about Support elders while attending one of the functions of Airforce. I was a bit hesitant if I should consider being a member then because I thought I could do the out of house work all by myself. One day when I was in Gariahaat market for shopping I missed a step and fell down on the street. Thank God nothing serious happened to me but at that very moment I was worried, helpless and feared if something happens to me, what should I do. With the help of some locals I managed to come back home and immediately contacted Support Elders and decided to be a member.
Now I feel absolutely safe and tension free, I know if something happens to me I can get immediate help from them. Their approachable and efficient way of working made a significant difference in my life.

I was planning to go Bangladesh to visit my ancestral home and requested Support Elders to accompanying me for my Visa stamping. They sent one of their member care associates to take me to the Visa office. He made sure I entered the office and waited for me outside. There was a person known to me at the Visa office, so after doing all my Visa related work I was having a long conversation with my old friend. I thought that he must have left because it was few hours when I finally came out from the office and was surprised to see him waiting for me outside for that long. I was embarrassed and asked, “why didn’t you go back, it’s quite late now?” With a warm smile on his face he replied, “How can I leave you here sir, my responsibility is to reach you home safely”. The words touched my heart and I could realize how responsible the people of this organisation are! Every now and then someone comes to spend time with me, other than calling me everyday to enquire about my health. My daughter who stays in Hongkong also knows that there is someone to take care of me back home.

Recently, my mother, Swapna Dutta, a member of Support Elders, who suffers from Parkinson's disease and stays alone in Kolkata, accidentally burnt her arm while using an immersion rod to heat a bucket full of water. Her skin was so severely scalded that it came off in places. Support Elders staff facilitated immediate medical intervention and follow-up.
I was worried sick about how my mother could manage all by herself that night. Thankfully, Ma is a member of Support Elders. Sensing the risk of letting Ma stay alone further, I called up the Support Elders NAC team and sought assistance in procuring a full-time caregiver for Ma.
The concerned Member Care Associate rushed to a village in Burdwan, a good 2-3-hour journey by train from Howrah. He somehow convinced a lady, whom he knew from earlier, to accompany him back to Kolkata the same night to attend to Ma, who was in distress. I was so relieved and thankful to the entire Support Elders team for rising to the occasion and going beyond the call of duty!

My mother, Mrs. Nandita Sen, is one of your subscribers. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for doing such a commendable job of taking care of my mother. My mother recently had cataract surgery and your staff took special care of her.
I will remain forever grateful for all the help and support that you have provided to my mother.
Thanks again

I am a retired Family Physician living in Israel. For many years I have been worried about my elderly, widowed sister living alone in Kolkata. It was our good fortune to discover Support Elders who stepped into action within hours of first contact to provide total 24- hour support for my sister. A team of dedicated professional caregivers, they serve with compassion and respect by providing urgent medical care and organising services to take care of all the needs of the individual. I am now able to sleep soundly, confident that my sister is being taken care of and is safe and all the worries of running her household are being efficiently dealt with. I can recommend Support Elders to anyone who is alone, in poor health, needing considerable help to continue living at home with dignity and safety to the very end.

Support Elders has been of invaluable assistance to my family. Living overseas, I was always concerned about my parents looking after themselves well, as things become more difficult with age, and one doesn't want them overstraining themselves. I was also concerned about their health and organizing medical assistance when necessary.
Support Elders has filled the gap perfectly - they are on hand to visit my home and check on necessities. They also organize our medical requirements and keep us up to date with everything. They do their job extremely professionally, and more than that you know that they care about you on a personal level as well.
Thanks to their efforts and diligence, life is simpler, safer and more comfortable for my parents, and as a result, I have peace of mind.

We tried for years to convince our parents to move in with one of us, but they weren't having it. Kolkata was their home, after all; how would they adjust to living in a foreign country, even if it was with one of their children? Fast forward several years, to where both of them started having more and more significant health issues and, finally, a major medical crisis for my mother in 2016. When I made that agonizingly long emergency trip back to Kolkata from the U.S., I had no idea how I was going to make sure my parents had adequate care, given that all of us live abroad... all I knew was that I had to figure it out.
Thanks to what I can only describe as a series of serendipitous circumstances, I connected with Support Elders through Woodlands and in remarkably short order (less than three days!), they worked with my brother and I to customize an incredible care package that included not only medical support and in-home nursing, but household management as well. We've been extremely happy clients ever since then, and intend to remain so as long as necessary.
I can't say enough good things about the Support Elders team. Not only do they draw on their networks to ensure we have the best care for our parents as possible, they are extremely responsive and willing to tweak the care protocol as needed. As a marketing professional who makes a living advising businesses on how to better communicate with their constituents, this is one of the most important and gratifying pieces for me; because at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how good the care is if it's not being communicated to the client. Support Elder - thank you for all you do for our parents and us!

For my out of home work, especially regular bank related work, I depend on Support Elders and they do it gladly for me. A few days back I went to the bank with a Support Elders staff member to deposit money, to update my pass book and to link my mobile number and aadhar card with the account. He made me sit in one place and did all the work on my behalf. Once the manager linked the account, he wanted to make sure that I get the message, but I couldn’t receive the message due to some problem with my mobile. On his own, the Support Elders staff member took the responsibility to get it repaired and ensured that I receive the sms-es from the bank. That was very thoughtful of him and I truly appreicate the effort and dedication.

Our passport is going to expire in the month of July 2018, and sought the help of Support Elders. Soon one of their staff members came to collect the necessary papers. He applied online on our behalf. He changed the appointment date twice to suit my convenience. On the stipulated date, another staff member came to accompany us to the passport office; he did the paperwork so that we didn’t have to stand in the long queue. He waited for us and after we completed the formalities, accompanied us to our residence. The entire process would not have been so hassle-free without Support Elders.

My relationship with Support Elders goes back a long way. The assistance and support I get from this organisation is immense. I visit Command Hospital every three months for my health check-up, and every time I go, one of the staff members accompanies me to the hospital.
The major advantage of the staff is that some of them are from army medical Corps, who provide medical services to Army personnel. So, they are very familiar with the norms of healthcare there. All the official paperwork, collection of medicines etc. at the Command Hospital are done flawlessly every time.

I was quite lonely after my wife passed away in a road accident. It is because of my daughter’s request I became a member of Support Elders. I had Retinal Detachment sometime back. A Support Elders staff member came early in the morning and took me to the hospital. He assisted me throughout the treatment, helped me to deposit the money, get the medicines and were constantly updating my daughter about the procedure and my health. He stayed beyond his duty hours to handover the responsibility to another staff member, who took over from him and brought me home in the evening. The next day another staff came to my house and took me for post-operative check-up and reached me home after completing the entire procedure.

We know that when our children move out for their job to some other cities or countries, we go through certain type of empty nest syndrome. My wife Rina and I also went through an initial loneliness, but then we realised that it is the way of life. We have two children, our son settled in the US and daughter, in Bengaluru. They are very responsible and help us in whatever way they can. But it is not possible for them to look after our everyday needs.
It is then when we came to know about this organisation, Support Elders, from one of our friends. I especially would like to appreciate and share their passionate way of helping people like us. I had a complicated operation few months back which made my movement a bit restricted. The help and support we both are getting from them now is really appreciable.
I am writing today about one incident to let you know how much I appreciate you as an organisation. Last year during Durga Puja, we wished to see some of the pandals nearby and we expressed our desire to Support Elders, which they gladly accepted and fulfilled by sending one of their staff. He came with a taxi in the morning and happily accompanied us to the pandals we intended to visit.
He helped us getting in and out of the taxi so carefully as if he is doing it for his parents. No words can really completely capture the joyous feelings in our heart when we think of how satisfied we were that day. The way they keep in touch with us by calling us every day without fail to enquire if we had taken medicines, is there anything we need, is applaudable. Every week a person visits us and help us doing our bank works, spend time with us even if we don’t have any out of home work to do.
My wife Rina recently visited Tarakeshwar to offer Puja. She went there without any tension or worry because she knew that Support Elders has given her the assurance by telling “Ma’am you carry on with your programme and we will look after Sir”, which they did.
Support Elders' assistance has been invaluable for our life. The staff could not have been kinder and more supportive. Our heartfelt thanks and congratulation to Support Elders for their remarkable achievement in supporting the elders to feel secured and independent. We would like to express our gratitude to this amazingly helpful foundation for their enormous effort and great sincerity for the elderly people like us.

The Buddha said birth, aging, sickness and death are four universal truths that none can escape. When we are young and full of energy both mentally and physically, we tend to forget that we will have to step into the stage of aging and sickness very soon, when we may lose all our vitality and need support to move forward in life.
At this juncture strangely, our elders usually part from us to step into their next life and our children either move away from us to create their own families or to hunt for a prospective job and we left alone without any support.
In my personal life, I have two daughters, one living in Singapore and the other in Kolkata. They are happily married and enjoying with their own families and also take good care of us. But they don’t stay with us, so for day to day we are left alone and need some support. My younger daughter, realising our limitations connected us to Support Elders about two years ago, and till date, we have got immense benefit from this humanistic organisation.
I would like to share my recent experience with all of you just to express my heartfelt gratitude and also to assure you that whenever you are in trouble, Support Elders will gladly come forward to help you in a very dedicated and compassionate way.
Recently, my husband got extremely unwell in the middle of the night. The doctor came and advised immediate hospitalisation and surgery. My husband has difficulty in walking, so an ambulance was needed. I called up Support Elders and within half an hour, their staff arrived with an ambulance. He also helped us a lot for my husband’s emergency admission to the nursing home.
Every day without fail, Support Elders gave me full support by calling me to enquire how I was dealing with everything. On the day of release, another staff came to the nursing home to help us and came along with my husband in the ambulance, settled him at home, bought the medicines and so many other things advised by the nursing home.
As my husband is over 80 years, this sudden surgery was a big trauma for him. He became totally bedridden after the surgery. He could not move or sit by himself, so we thought of renting Fowler’s bed for him, to raise it in a sitting position while he took food. Our wish for the Fowler’s bed was fulfilled with the help of one of their senior managers. My husband being bedridden I again needed day and night attendants to look after him.
Again, I called up Support Elders and they arranged for this help too. Personally, I got so tied down with my household work and looking after my husband that I could hardly leave my house. But in present situation, I needed lot of finance to meet different expenses. Once again like a loyal family member, Support Elders came forward to withdraw money from bank on my behalf.
Besides these tangible benefits, we get constant encouragement through daily phone calls and weekly home visits. Through constant interaction, Support Elders has become a close family member with whom we can share our joy and sorrow easily and never feel lonely.
I salute them with deep regard for the noble and dedicated work they are doing to help and bring joy to the aged community of the society.
May they be able to inspire others to come forward with the same mission and try to transform our society to a happy and peaceful place to live in.

I send my belated thanks to SUPPORT ELDERS for helping me by sending one of their reliable persons at 4 in the morning in this cold weather in January 2018 and getting transport (taxi) and seeing me off with luggage which I was not even allowed to touch while loading.

I live in United States and as I am the only child of parents, my mother lives in Kolkata with her caregiver. My mother is a member of Support Elders since 2016. Last month she suffered a massive heart failure at home and had to be immediately rushed to the nearest emergency care by Support Elders. She was admitted in ICU and stayed in the hospital for 12 days. During this entire period, team Support Elders helped us immensely. I was here, as every year I come to see my mother during the summer holidays. I informed them of the situation and they promptly took all the action needed during the emergency. I was astonished by the kind of support and service they provided at the time of hospitalisation and the entire stay as well.
I really appreciate their help and thank them for the support and service that they are providing us for our parents. Being a daughter, I can only say that because of them my mother is alive today. All my best wishes to team Support Elders and thanks as always.

Since my mother and I live in different cities, I had to take the help of Support Elders, and I am so glad I did - their non-commercial, solution-oriented approach is at once refreshing as well as tremendously assuring. The organisation has been a pillar of strength for my mother, and my father before that, and in terms of stress relief, has added a good many years to my life as well! Thank you, Support Elders Team.

When my parents’ health started failing, I started searching for a service that I could rely on remotely. After some research and good reference checks I selected Support Elders and I have been very impressed with their services. My parents have also developed a sense of trust with their customer care people. It gives me the peace of mind to know there’s someone available to help my parents 24x7 in case of any medical emergency or just to help them with such chores like accompanying them to the post office or the bank or to the doctor.

'Support Elders' given us wonderful 'support' in the past few months through very difficult times. Not just in routine care when your MCAs frequently met my 90 year old father, brought his medicines, went to the ATM for him and in general, chatted with him and reassured him when he felt helpless! That was just great.
More importantly, your prompt action when my father had to be hospitalised and the support your organisation gave us through the hospitalisation, was exemplary. When my father was discharged, you were personally there to ensure that I had nothing to worry about. I cannot even begin to tell you how grateful I was for your support. My brother tells me that your help for the funeral was also amazing.
Today, you continue to look after my mother who is a terminal case of Alzheimers. We know that it is largely because of your support and assistance that she is well looked after.
I wish you all the very best for the future. May 'Support Elders' continue to grow in strength.

Support Elders is an exceptional project, well executed and diligently maintained by a team of dedicated individuals. In the last few months, I had the opportunity to witness their work as they cared for my elderly mother in Kolkata. They maintained constant contact with her and helped her whenever she needed. They were always there and present in times of need. The Care Associates were polite, supportive, very helpful and really dedicated to their charge. No job was too difficult or impossible. From retrieving a lost folder from a hospital to procuring a rare vegetable, my mother trusts Support Elders associates to be there when she needs assistance. I thank Support Elders for their wonderful work.

After I returned from my ancestral home on the day after Kali Puja, I realised, to my utter dismay, that I had not arranged for my supper. My supper usually comes from a nearby eatery. I have a mobile phone but I am very unsure about how to use it and I could not remember whom to call. I became very nervous. When I received the routine evening call from Support Elders, I told them about my predicament. To my great relief, they assured me that they would take care of the situation. And soon a Support Elders Member Care Associate brought steaming hot food for me. Support Elders has made a big difference in my life. God bless them.

Around 10:00 pm on the 23rd of Nov’15 , I felt a peculiar discomfort in the pelvic region. I went several times to the toilet and also vomited quite a few times. Needless to say my wife was quite worried and arranged to call a doctor who stays in our complex itself. In the mean time, my wife contacted Support Elders & they sent two of their MCAs. Both arrived very quickly and there was prompt action taken by Support Elders. Their presence itself gave us a lot of confidence. Later both of them went at that hour ( by then it was almost 11:00pm), to the pharmacy and got us the medicines which were urgently needed at that moment. That service was an excellent one rendered by the two Support Elders employees. We are at peace knowing that there is someone there when there is an emergency and that we can reach out to the Support Elders team whenever we are faced with a medical emergency in the future. Thank you Support Elders for your prompt service & warmth. My wife and I wish you all the best in the future

I have become a member of Support Elders from Nov. 7, though we have interacted several times earlier. Even in this short time, I am impressed with your service, i.e. regular phone calls every day, and one visit per week. The way you provide support during festival days is exemplary, though I joined after Durga Puja. I am an old man of 71 years, and also have various ailments, for which both of us need your support very much. Hope you will continue to provide good service in coming days, which we need very much.

And then it is winter………..
Time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware. It seems like it was only yesterday that I was young, just married and embarking on a new journey with my mate. And yet sometimes, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went by. I know that I lived them well as I catch glimpses of how it was back then and all my hopes and dreams.
I loved playing golf and always enjoyed playing the front nine with my friends…. But here it is, the back nine of my life and it has certainly caught me by surprise. I remember seeing older people through the years and thinking that they were a zillion years away from me…that I was on my first hole and the back nine was so far away that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like. This is an honest confession of an 88-year-old young man dealing with new aches and pains everyday but still braving it in his own abode as a proud warrior.
With each passing day, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day, and taking a nap is not a treat anymore…it is mandatory! And so, I enter yet another season of my life, unprepared for all the aches and pains and the gradual loss of strength and ability to do things. But at least I know that though I am on my back nine and have my share of regrets—there are things I wish I had not done or things I should have done—there are so many things I am happy to have done. It is all a part of life.
I am a proud man drawing a very decent pension, living independently in my own house (a dream that my wife and I had shared). I have children and grandchildren, who are doing extremely well for themselves and extremely caring daughters in law—we speak on Skype, exchange notes and they visit me occasionally and generally care for me and are worried about my wellbeing—but I like staying on my own. My one and only dream is to accomplish as much as I can by myself while staying in the comfort of my own home.
When I came to know about Support Elders Private Limited from a well-wisher and decided to hear them out, I realised that their services seemed to be tailor-made for me. I wanted to live and function independently in the society and occasionally mingle with like-minded company or go out. I want to live for today and say all those things that I want to say and do all the things that I have always wanted to do. After interacting with the Support Elders staff, I felt sure that my needs will be suitably taken care of. The best part about their Medical Emergency Alert Services is the assurance that 24X7 someone is there to react knowledgeably and promptly in case a medical emergency arises and ensure that I reach the nearest medical institution. Even my children support my decision. After a long time, I sensed relief in the voices of my children and grandchildren—this strengthened my conviction that I had taken the right decision.
I believe that life is a gift, and the way one lives is our gift to those who come after. I am enjoying my life fully today and with Support Elders to take care of me, I can breathe easy. I quote Dalai Lama, “Not everyone will understand your journey. That’s fine, it is not their journey to make sense of. It is yours.”
Jai Hind.

Festivals are happy times. Times to make beautiful memories. But what happens when you are thousands of miles away from home, away from your elderly parents who are haunted by those memories and feel all the more lonely and sad? Soumi Basu shares her story of how unexpectedly her family’s Holi became a happy occasion once again!
I was having a chat with my mother-in-law on the phone. She mentioned that Holi was just around the corner and how these festivals are really difficult for them without us. I had caught her in one of those rare, sentimental moods. Most of the time she sounds happy and strong. But this year had been a bit difficult health-wise for both my parents-in-law. She said she was very happy that both her children are happily married and doing well but sometimes the distance seemed too much. She wished we were in Kolkata.
My parents-in-law have never made me feel any less loved than their own children. And love works both ways. They had ceased to be my parents-in-law and become my parents long ago. I live in Paris and my sister-in-law lives in London. Because of their health problems, both of us had already visited them twice last year and were planning to visit them again in the summer when the children’s schools would break for summer. So, paying them a visit and cheering them up was not a do-able option. But my mother-in-law’s longing stayed with me. I was feeling sad and a little guilty.
I was discussing this hopeless situation with a friend and she told me about Support Elders’ unique idea of visiting elderly parents whose children live away from Kolkata with abeer and sweets. All I had to do was take part in their online contest. I visited their facebook page and shared my most memorable Holi experience with them. A few days later they contacted me for the address of my family. Feeling excited and happy, I shared my parents-in-law’s contact information. I did not tell my parents-in-law anything. I wanted it to be a surprise for them.
The Support Elders team visited my parents-in-law in the morning with abeer and sandesh. They smeared abeer on the feet of the elders as is traditional and hugged them. Not just that, they stayed for a couple of hours, chatting with my parents-in-law, sharing breakfast with them, and listening to their stories. The best part was the team clicking photos of my happy in-laws and sending them to us. It was the best Holi gift ever!
I called my parents-in-law later to wish them a happy Holi. With the time difference, it was just early morning for us—the Support Elders team had already visited them and my in-laws sounded so happy and excited. My mother-in-law kept telling me how nice it was and that the team that had visited them were so warm, friendly and well-mannered and just like her own children. My father-in-law, a man of very few words, went all emotional and said it felt like his children had put abeer on his feet. He told me, “I bless my children and the team with all my heart. I am proud that we have raised such sensitive children.”
Even though we were thousands of miles away from them, thanks to Support Elders I have never felt closer to them. A truly unique concept carried out with a very generous heart!
