Deepanwita Chattopadhyay, Co-founder & Chairman

As Chairman & CEO of IKP Knowledge Park, she has deep interest in entrepreneurship, incubation and institution building. She is responsible for developing the first Life Science Research Park in India and establishing a sustainable innovation cluster around a science park. She pioneered a Hardware Product Incubator and Makerspace to fuel the maker movement in India and works with global and Indian partners to nurture and fund over 200 innovators and early startups. She joined the telecom advisory practice of ICICI Bank in 1994. She advised both government and the private sector on telecom regulation & policy, convergence issues, market forecasts and entry strategies. She was deputed as the CEO of IKP in 2001. She is the President of IKP EDEN and a Director on the Board of IKP Trust and IKP Investment Management Company. She is a Governing Body member of the National Institute of Immunology, Lucknow Biotech Park, Society for Technology Managers, NCR Biotech Science Cluster and TiE Hyderabad Chapter, and member of several national and state government committees. She also served as an international Director on the Board of the International Association of Science Parks (IASP) for 2 years till May 2012.

 

Apratim Chattopadhyay, Founder, MD & CEO

A hands-on leader with management experience across banking, insurance, media, loyalty, etc. with leading organisations like ICICI Bank, Tata AIG General Insurance, Times Group and LoyaltyOne. As an integral part of senior management, he has led large successful teams.

 

He has incubated and launched new distribution channels and products in the BFSI sector like new direct-to-customer distribution channels in insurance and India’s first private label credit card for women. He led a game-changing innovation in marketing in India as Co-founder and Head of Revenue of i-mint (India’s first national coalition loyalty program, now Payback).

 

It was idealism, however, and the desire to give back to society that made him give up his corporate career and channelise his expertise for the cause of the elderly.

 

Debina Chattopadhyay, Co-founder & Director

As a senior publishing professional, she has been extensively associated with digital and print media. She has worked and engaged with readers across age groups through various media vehicles.

 

Having stayed away from her hometown for years, she feels deeply about the wants and needs of the elderly and her passion to work for them is the key to her sensitive and TG-oriented communication.

 

Amitabha Guha, Director

A visionary with 40 years of experience in the Banking Industry, Mr. Guha has served as Managing Director of State Bank of Travancore & State Bank of Hyderabad, as Deputy Managing Director of State Bank of India and as non-executive Chairman of The South Indian Bank Limited. He sits on the Board of a number of companies and is a Member of Board of Governors of the Asian Institute of Business Management, Bhubaneswar.

 

Susmita Ghose, Director

An expert on geriatric issues, Susmita has more than 37 years of experience in eldercare. During her long stint at HelpAge India, of which 14 years she was the National Director, her forte was mobilising resources to further the  cause of  the elderly. With an extensive network at both national and international levels, she is a known proponent of eldercare policies and is an advocate for the rights of the elderly.

 

Supratik Gupta, Chief Solutions Officer

Supratik has more than 25 years of IT experience across various domains - Old Age Care, Logistics, Payments, Banking applications, Traffic Infringement Management, Airlines reservations, across various technologies including Mainframe, RDBMS like Ingres, Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server and across various geographies - USA, UK, Belgium, Australia, Singapore and HK.  He is an active member of CSI, PMI and IEEE and also member of the Technical Committee of BIS-India for contributing towards different standardisation in India, in collaboration with ISO.

Dr Indrani Chakravarty

Currently the director of the Calcutta Metropolitan Institute for Gerontology (CMIG), Dr Chakravarty started her journey in early 80s, as a Research Scholar in Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. After undergoing training in the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology, Japan, Dr Chakravarty came back in 1983 to start Calcutta Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology with Research & Publication of the Indian Journal of Gerontology “Ageing & Society”. In the passage of time, more than two and half decades, CMIG is still a very niche Institution, but identified as Centre of Excellence in Gerontological Studies. It conducts all training courses under the aegis of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment as well as Post Graduate Course on Gerontology & Age Care Management, recognised by Calcutta University. CMIG has added many service domains like Day Care Centres, Mobile Medicare Units for the underprivileged elderly etc. However, its core strength remains Research. Of late, it has also taken the initiative of technology intervention for the assistive living of the elderly in our society. By order of the Ministry, CMIG is now RRTC for West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa & Jharkand.
